Only API commands are available in headless console. Pressing the grave key again or typing hide, quit or exit will close the window. Other layouts will most likely have different symbols printed on them, or might require pressing twice or together with the Alt Gr function key. On US keyboards, this key is labelled with the ` ( grave) and ~ (tilde) symbols. There is also a keyboard shortcut: it's the key that's between the Tab and Escape key. Alternately, you may click and hold for a dropdown list with more items. Everything leads that they're open, but something else is still preventing me from joining. In the wrench tab, check the box for Enable debugging tools.Ĭlick the gear icon in the menu bar that appears. I tried port 22050 and get the same errors and issues as with port 11753. No, but I will try here later today, I'll let you know. I will try to get another one of my friends to try later tonight. Trying to join from my laptop (which btw has all the same custom content my desktop has) gets the same "Unable to connect to server" and the server outputs the same logs as above. I fixed the (404) error with the advertising, but still can't join. It ultimately just gives me the "Unable to connect to server" error in the little red textbox. Trying to connect from the same computer netted me this result from the server logs: When I join the "authenticating" window will pop up, then the downloading map window will follow, then I'm in the server. I can connect to other servers flawlessly. If there's any other info needed I can try to provide. My ISP is Comcast so if last case is they're somehow shadow blocking the port, then idk, my router's firewall is set to low and the ports are forwarded like I said. We're just very confused and would like some help. My friend said he'll setup a server in a few days to see if he can, but I've got all the saves and parks we have. I've searched far and wide on this subreddit and the internet and I can't seem to find any solutions. Lastly both him and I can join other servers successfully. My antivirus is AVG but it never gave trouble and I have OpenRCT2 on exception. I even disabled my ipv6 because it was giving errors for that and even before I did the headless way my friend and I played together with ipv6 turned on.

this is whats inside my "server.bat" - "F:\OpenRCT2\openrct2" host "C:\Users\myname\Documents\OpenRCT2\save\Rampaging RiverDDDD.sv6" -port 11753 -headless -verbose 11753 is set in the config file, and when I start a server in-game its 11753. This is just showing the ports have been forwarded on my router, I even made rules for the ports in the firewall for both TCP and UDP. The server always starts yet it seems it doesn't always advertise (when I have the boxed checked). When he joins now through add server he gets the 'Unable to connect to server', which is weird because one day it was working fine and the next it completely stopped working. I have the Triple Thrill Pack from Steam while he has his from GOG (also the TTP.) I do use custom scenarios and Amazing Earl but we played with that before and it worked fine.

So to start, I'm running on the latest release build, 0.2.1(8ac731e), Windows version (I use Windows 10). Although this week something appears to have gone wrong, and I just need to confirm if I'm doing something wrong. My friend and I have been playing together through my server setup from the in-game multiplayer tab. Recently I've run into some strange issues with running my own server.
